Family home
- Location
- Runda, Nairobi
- Sector
- Residential
- Scope
- Integrated rooftop array · Solar water heating

The brief
An all-black array set flush on a standing-seam roof, read as part of the roof rather than added to it.
A new pitched-roof home where the architect wanted the roof to stay a single, uninterrupted plane. Hot water and daytime loads were the priority.
Our approach
- All-black modules aligned to the seam rhythm of the roof sheeting.
- Flat-plate solar water heating on a secondary roof, out of sight from the approach.
- Concealed cable entry and a compact, labelled distribution point.
